Love the Laydown #2: Lumberjack Bike Helmet
Laydown #2: What to wear with the Nutcase Lumberjack Bike Helmet – take a cue from Elegant Hippie Lindsey Morse.
After a few days of bicycle touring in the hot and dry hills of Eastern Oregon with Treo Ranches, we asked Alex Gerace to review the Nutcase Street helmet in Cream that he wore for the multi-day trip. This is part of our series of quick review posts to hear from all different types of…
”Technicolor is inspired by my love of colorful stripes,” said Nutcase founder Michael Morrow. ”Especially thin colorful stripes, and not just colorful, but an eclectic mix that is punchy and bright as well as muted and neutral.”
In his way, Michael makes helmets like the Island Sunset to challenge people. To choose colors so gorgeous and rich that they pop, and also to find a way to add graphic elements that look great and harken to some themes we all relate to. Why wear a wild helmet design? Because if it speaks to you, you’ll love it every day you wear it.
We’re striving to make helmets that are as safe, comfortable, and cool (in the many senses of that word) as is humanely possible. With this generation of our Street and Metroride helmets, ’A Perfect Fit’ is not hard to get. But because human noggins come is all shapes and sizes, it’s not a foregone conclusion either.
I dream of a Nutcase helmet specifically for electric bikers. Something for the modern day, renaissance e-biker. Something fairly epic. It may involve lightning, and it would be good if it could look like velvet.
