Happy Halloween. We’ve gone laydown loony for this duo of holiday events.
As the bloggers at Two Wheeling Tots note, good helmets for the youngest set are hard to come by.
In Portland, there are some incredible active transportation statistics, but none quite as great as this: around 40% of kids bike, walk, or roll to school.
We feel it’s about time to start whetting your appetite by giving you a tiny sneak peak of what’s new for Eurobike 2015 from Nutcase.
First and foremost will be the next iteration of our Unframed fresh-art-on-fresh-helmets campaign. We will have two booths at Eurobike – one to show off our new products (see below for details), and the other to showcase our three international artists making live art daily all three days of the show.
In this recent review of the Nutcase Baby Nutty Petal Power helmet, reviewer Sylvia praises the Petal Power’s lightweight in-mold shell and the different thicknesses of pads included with the helmet. These pads are integral to getting a good fit, as is the elastic fit system.
With our first wave of Baby Nutty designs you can clearly see the Nutcase aesthetic: the Nutty Swirl follows in a long line of great swirling helmet designs we’ve done; the Outer Space plays off our founder Michael’s powerful obsession with kitschy science fiction; and Petal Power isn’t just cute, it’s one in a long line of Hawaiian-inspired flower designs.
We let some pretty tough critics – kids! – test out a fresh batch of Nutcase Little Nutty and Baby Nutty helmets while riding their Strider bikes. Here’s what their parents said about the helmets.
Bike Expo New York (at Pier 36 this year) is a high-energy show, the largest annual consumer extravaganza for biking in the world. Which means, it can be a little daunting. But at our booth we’re laid back and having fun. Come and see us – we’re at booth #215.
